lorrianemark Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 It seems its extract duct to outside causing most noise. Also discovered it had split in coregated section after solid pipe from unit so have fix that.
lorrianemark Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Anybody any idea why it's extract duct to outside most noisy.?
dpmiller Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 has the system been correctly commissioned and balanced?

Andehh Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 We have a MVHR with silencers, can still hear it at 40% or higher. We set it at 15% for background ventilation, 75% boost and just let it do it's thing. When Humidity is higher outside it can sit at higher (30 - 50%) and it is audible but you get used to it eventually. If it becomes a problem, we raise the humidity allowance to 70% or something and it drops itself back down to something very low and inaudible.
lorrianemark Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Ah it's OK @45% but just wondering why extract to outside duct sounds so much louder? Would dirty filters cause noise. Haven't changed in 10 months.
