wall tie starting level

I thought I might find this on the interweb easily.

But, now up to DPM

 

Where do we put the first row of wall ties, I know the width requirements and the height requirements, but where do I start.

Depends but usually we start at DPC level.

first joint above damp to work block.

If you have a cavity tray then I’d put them in the bed joint of that blockwork course (generally 225mm up from FFL.) I know a lot of people who put them out on the first course-pretty pointless if there’s a tray as they won’t be in a bed joint.
