Hi :)

Can anyione advise on the need, or not, of a membrane on the outer face of the inner leaf in a bead filled new cavity?

Apparently it is to protect the inner leaf from damp, as moisture could track across the bead - new to me

TIA, JAmes

No membrane required, but you need to restrict the amount of moisture getting into the outer leaf, so either render for blockwork or a coat of Stormdry or similar if it is brickwork.
