Importing uPVC windows from Poland

I've tried the search function but can't find anything relevant.

As an individual self builder, has anyone imported uPVC windows from Poland? They seem high quality, option of double or triple glazed, and significantly cheaper than UK suppliers.

There are a couple of suppliers that seem to specialise in exporting to Europe, including the UK. With multiple manufacturer options.

On a related subject does anyone have a recommendation for a software package or app. to create a window and door schedule? Or would you just use Excel?

Not windows, but we just got frameless glass ballustrading from Lithuania. Half the price, exceeds the BC requirements and the quality seems fantastic. I'd definitely consider importing widows. At least then I'd know they had been measured correctly and will fit without needing handfuls of packers and cans of foam 🤣

I used Excel and our resident window guru thought it was ok.

Any ideas on which companies are good to approach for windows and doors from Poland that can handle most of the arrangements including delivery?

Don’t forget VAT and import charges to the UK on any prices

I've not spoken with them, but on Debesto.com website they say they will arrange everything including delivery to the UK. A few people have told me that they have imported from Poland (post Brexit) and they've been very happy with the process, quality and cost. But no one will actually elaborate on who and how🙄😂😂 plenty of nay sayers whittering on about fensa and vat of course😏

I'm maybe 6 months away from the point of requiring windows so I may organise a little roadtrip/holiday via Poland to see for myself.

Debesto.com (and a few others) are not manufacturers. They're suppliers/brokers.

I doubt that will be of actual value tbh. No different visiting a showroom / manufacturing base here. They'll all make the same promises, just one will have cost you a few hundred or thousands to hear.

Suppliers and promises 😏I know😂 it was more to see the actual windows/profiles in the flesh (there's a huge choice). But also an element of looking them in the eye. And it wouldn't just be for this, just a detour to somewhere we've never been.

I'd just love to hear from someone who has done it beyond the "yeah we did it, they were great....."
