JohnBishop Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 (edited) Hi All, I have a copper pipe in the wall installed by the plumber (15mm cold mains), but now I have to fill the void with something. What should I use for that? Bonding 60, BondingCoat or simply MultiFinish? Best regards Edited April 13, 2023 by JohnBishop
Andehh Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Expanding foam? Whats the void made up of, any pics?

Expand I just cut out some plaster and a bit of brick with an angle grinder to run the copper pipe. It's maybe 18-22mm wide. Edited April 13, 2023 by JohnBishop
PeterW Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Something not cement based so it doesn’t corrode the pipe.. How deep is it ..?

johnhenstock83 Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 easi fill 60 is what you need! are the pipes insulated?

JohnBishop Posted April 16, 2023 Author Posted April 16, 2023 This is the pipe. I have covered it with PVA all around but if I put tiles or the multipanel on top maybe I can leave it (the void) like that, no?
Nickfromwales Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Leave as-is. No need to do anything more tbh. Exp foam would be my only suggestion as it is a cold mains so maybe you'd get condensation forming on it. Remove the clip, fill with foam ( behind the pipe ) and hold in place whilst the foam cures. You won't need the clip afterwards, the foam will grip it perfectly well, if not better! 1
