I know a chap put one of together for about £370. Everything from Amazon or AliExpress but much of it printed using 3 rolls of PLA:

1m X 2.4m working area.

Costs:

Controller 100
stepper motors 30
belts and pulleys 20
3D printed parts 60 (3 rolls of PLA)
25mm pipe 30 (less if you use galv conduit)
wiring 20
router 50
nuts bolts and bits 30?
wood bits 30

I’ve seen Maslow are looking at a new version with everything mounted on the sled which will be interesting. Most CNC really only need 25mm cutting depth and makes it easier to drive a rigid Z axis.

Not sure I'd live long enough to print that. The design seems OK though. I wonder if those big 3D printed blocks could be laser cut out of acrylic?

Out of interest, how many hours of printing there? Apologies if you've said elsewhere.

I’ve just been doing some stuff at 15g/h, so assuming 1kg rolls of filament gives around 200 hours of printing.

I like the look of the machine but would definitely machine the side frames etc out of alu or delrin or nylon66
