martinwinlow
I know I'm asking a lot but I thought I would ask...! As per the title - I just want a small, self-contained air-to-air heat pump that would mount on one or other side (or both) of an external wall to both supply heat via a built-in heat pump whilst at the same time supplying external fresh air and extracting stale/damp warm air and recovering the heat from it. Anyone got any ideas, please? MW

MVHR box with in-line pre- and post- heater ? £2000 ish.... Like this almost - minus the hose.
SteamyTea
I thought "Wall Hung Mini" was a Chinese girl. There was someone on here that was fitting an internal ASHP that only required two largish holes through the wall. Can't for the life of me find the post now. Mr Punter
You may be better dealing with the HR ventilation as a separate thing to the heat pump. I doubt that you could get all-in-one.

It will be something like this https://www.aircondirect.co.uk/p/1449870/10000-btu-wall-mounted-air-conditioner-and-heat-pump-without-outdoor-unit-with-wifi-for-rooms-up-to-30-sqm the gubbins are all internal so there's no issue with complying with planning permission or F gas regulations, but they are more expensive and don't seem to be as efficient as split units. I doubt that they do ventilation as the air flow for the heat exchanger should be sealed.

I am quite tempted to buy one of those units, just how noisy it really is, is my only worry.
