crispy_wafer
Currently in discussions with a few companies about installing a multi split of a couple of slim ducted 2.5's and a wall mounted 3.5 unit for the upstairs of the build. Different companies like to align with certain manufacturers, although they can and will install others if asked, as such I've had quotes for a Hitachi based system, a Daikin system and one incoming for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Short of looking at and trying to fathom out the micro differences between SCOP and SEER for efficiencies, the visuals of the wall mounts, interface, and initial cost is there much else to consider? Also what brand AC do you have and what swung you towards that manufacturer?

Daikin - mostly because of spec and a personal recommendation for a particular installer by a satisfied customer of theirs. I didn't see any advantage in asking for a different make.
SteamyTea
These days of IoT I would make sure that full functionality is available without using a cloud service. Would be an annoyance if you could only change the time, twice a year, through a dedicated server. Edited December 7, 2022 by SteamyTea
JohnMo
I found this on here and have added to it. The micro difference come from the temp set points and outside air temp, some perform well across the board others don't. There is link at the top of spreadsheet, this is where test data comes from, all registered and tested units are there. Radian
Added the data for my Daikin Emura 3's (I see LibreOffice has slimmed down the file byte count but all data seems intact) MoreDetailPerformance Aircon.xlsx Edited December 7, 2022 by Radian added link to another thread
