GreenGables
Does anyone know if you can add extra insulation on top of a finished GRP roof? We may need to add more so looking at the best way to achieve this. Is it best to take off the whole roof and start again or can additional insulation board be added on top and then another GRP top layer added. At the moment we have plywood, vapour layer and possibly too little insulation with GRP top coat. Thanks for any advice..
SteamyTea
Can't see any reason why not. Stick some PU sheet down with a resin mix, then sheath as usual.
PeterW
Yep bond down glass tissue covered PUR or similar then overcoat it with another top layer - it’s how a lot of commercial roof panels are done.
