GrantMcscott Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Hi Is there any material I can use for flashing that can be rendered over. I have 2 saddel flashings which will be dressed round a conrner where render will be. or is it possible to use lead and then put wire over them to alow the lead to expand and contract without breaking the render. thanks
nod Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 No you can’t render over the flashing You lap Lapp a bead 30 mil over the edge

nod Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Ah you should have posted the picture What I’ve done in the past Usually dormers But it will work for you Is clad with a cement board Lapping over the lead You can take it down to 50 mil off the roof Then simply bead mesh and render
Conor Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 (edited) Render board is exactly how we did it on our dormer "cheeks" against the pitch roof. Roof slated, flashing put between slates and the wall, chased on and fixed, render board over, bead, then thin coat render system. Edited October 3, 2022 by Conor 1
