Triassic
During the dismantling of our old dormer bungalow we found that the walls in one of the upstairs bedrooms were made of thick cardboard. What strange materials have have you found during you time building or renovating?
Onoff
In what are now the hip ends, acres of pallet wood that had been used to ROOF the various old flat roof extensions that had then been felted over. The (current) lounge floor is done in ordinary 5/8" chipboard. One corner of a sofa or one of us will still occassionally disappear down a hole, saved only by the carpet a la The Money Pit! Same lounge, the walls are hardboard on 1" roofing battens with wood chip over the top. Various cables wrapped around vertical copper runs for "support" in place of clipped direct to a structure. All gone now thank Christ:
ProDave
We considered buying a wooden bungalow that had all the walls and ceilings clad in wood fibre board.

You saying that and I'm wondering if this floor of mine is in fact wood fibre board rather than chipboard?
