ToughButterCup Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Our services design shows plumbing runs in screed of the ground floor. A big bit of me wants to avoid that. There seems to me to be no good reason to run plumbing where I cannot access it easily and quickly. What have I missed? It seems too simple to just shove it in the ceiling space. Ian
PeterW Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Is it ducted..? If so, you can remove it but tbh if you have posi-joists its easier in the ceilings.
B52s Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 In the screed, rather than below the screed? What is the screed depth?
Nickfromwales Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 In screed makes no sense. Cold water won't be cold . Don't forget to lag the cold feeds too to stave off any heat absorption .
volcane Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Be very careful that the cold kitchen tap feed remains cold. We once had a tap with the supply running through the floor screed and it was repeatedly unpleasant to be caught out by a glass of warm water when expecting cold.
ToughButterCup Posted May 24, 2017 Author Posted May 24, 2017 Right: got it: it's going in the wall. Now, where's that router?

ToughButterCup Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 With just 8 of them left (equally distributed over their 2 containers) I have 2 in 10 fewer chances of digitectomy than almost anyone else. Now I must stir my stumps and get back to work.
