Adthrawn
Hi, We’ve just bought a 60’s bungalow (luckily mostly asbestos free!) with wooden outbuildings, and beginning the process of converting it into a modern energy saving smart home, and the outbuildings into a design studio and a workshop. SteamyTea
Welcome. Rather than muck about with smart controls that hide the inherent deficiencies, improve insulation and airtightness/ventilation. Make the problem small and you then only have a small problem to solve.
joth
Welcome! You're in the right place! You'll find plenty here to help. The main thing my smart home does is deal with excess heat (automatic solar shading, automatic stack venting). All the energy saving is achieved via high quality fabric first approach, no smart-controls needed.
Ferdinand
A demolish / newbuild can quite often be a better idea than an extensive / expensive renovation. Have you considered both, and are you beyond the point of no return?
