May 3, 20224 yr Welcome. Rather than muck about with smart controls that hide the inherent deficiencies, improve insulation and airtightness/ventilation. Make the problem small and you then only have a small problem to solve.

Make the problem small and you then only have a small problem to solve. Definitely this! The main thing my smart home does is deal with excess heat (automatic solar shading, automatic stack venting). All the energy saving is achieved via high quality fabric first approach, no smart-controls needed.
May 14, 20224 yr A demolish / newbuild can quite often be a better idea than an extensive / expensive renovation. Have you considered both, and are you beyond the point of no return?
