Moggaman Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Hi all. Does a quooker just need a normal electrical socket in terms of electricity.. Also , is the standard 50mm white pipe ok for boiling water? thanks
PeterW Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Yes although some models need a fused spur No you need to use stuff that is suitable for boiling water discharge

I have kitchen first fix wired and only a double socket to work with. Also, the waste pipe out is a standard 50mm white pipe.. what can I do in that case…I imagine using the white one would not be a huge risk? thanks

If you have a double socket on a ring then a competent electrician can add a switch fused spur to that and you could have that fitted inside the cupboard close to the device with appropriate cable run and protection for the cable, if needed, back to the double socket.
