"Cost My Self Build" - Anyone used this service?

Came across this in a well known self build magazine. Wondered if anyone has used the service before?

 

Seems like an alternative to using a QS, and potentially an interesting proposition to help compare against quotes from builders/timber frame companies etc. Not sure how accurate it would be though.

It’s impossible to cost at the moment 

You can use an online estimator or QS to quantify 

But prices are going up daily 

and labour also will jump up

So basically a waste of time to use a service like this in the current market?

Tell us what you think it will cost and we can tell you how far out you are. 

 

If you get a shell up and then employ various trades, I’m saying your place will not come in under £450,000.

So that service is roughly double the market leading provider for cost …
