tiles to stainless steel shower floor drain

I need to fix the tiles into a shower drain and wondered if I would use flexible tile adhesive or something like CT1?

Better to design fail safe than to rely on sealants, even good sealants.

no, it's a tileable drain. I've taken some pics so you can see how the tiles need to go

The CT1 would be to stick the tiles in, doesn't really need to create a seal as the water drains around it

I would ct1 it, but full bed with no voids so the tile cannot snap.

Thanks Russell, went with your suggestion and it only needed a thin spread of CT1, so should work well.

 

I also emailed the manufacturer Abacus, who once again didn't surprise me by being absolutely rubbish in not bothering to reply. I would never recommend them as they haven't cared less about the quality of their products or any issues.

I have had to call various companies lately for advice or a warranty issue. 

Out of 5 companies 3 of them I might have well phoned my 80 year old mother in law as she would have had more knowledge than the dimwit on the phone. 

The two people that where brilliant where both the owners of the companies, and actually cared that I got the right product and used it correctly. 

As soon as they get big enough to need a call centre, they take their eye of the ball.
