Old Bat Posted November 14, 2021 Share Posted November 14, 2021 Hi Everyone, We have finally started our barn conversion after various delays for which I blame the bats ? (COVID was just the final straw)! If all goes well we should be moving in next autumn. We are now just trying to cope with the endless round of decisions to be made and not fall out over paint colours. The latest decision is whether to have block or stud partition walls to create the rooms. Our architect had specified block but our builder prefers stud. Anyone have any opinions? TonyT Posted November 14, 2021 Share Posted November 14, 2021 Why did the architect specify block, there must have been a reason? the builder likes timber as it’s easier, but it could have been block for other reasons, thermal, sound, carrying joists above….
