Evening, came across this forum as have been searching for self-build info recently and seems to be a lot of that here. I became interested in the idea of self-building as a result of being uninspired by the offerings of the big developers - I figure they're marketed mostly at families and that most certainly is not me... so looking to create something a little unique which fits my requirements - some of which I probably don't realise I have yet.

 

Literally at the beginning of this journey, researching the different ways to secure a plot and getting lost down a few rabbit holes etc.

 

No doubt I'll be back with questions at some point

Thanks Dave and fair point! I actually meant to (and have since) put my location on my profile.

 

I'm in Gloucestershire so looking there or potentially the outskirts of surrounding counties.

Which is exactly the right time to be asking a bucket-load of questions
