Fitting Fascia boards

I'm going to be fitting 10mm fascia boards on to 18mm ply tomorrow. 

 

What's the best spacing to aim for with the plastic capped nails? 

 

I was thinking of 2ft or is 3ft/1m best? 

 

Advice would be appreciated.

I use 3-400mm.

I wouldn’t use ply ?. 600mm c/c ss capped pins look nicer than nails, gutter brackets can help too

Ply will swell and warp. I used 12mm OSB. Cheaper and a better job. We screwed at 200mm centres and a bead of adhesive. but that was render board which is much heavier.
