books for barn conversion

It is my son-in law's birthday and I want to get him a book that is relevant to barn conversion or building basics generally.

If still available I might get 'Why you don't fall through the floor'.

 

I gather there is a sort of self-build 'bible'.

I have found this a general basic guide in easy read terms by Mark Brinkley. Not much on Barn conversions but does give food for thought for someone starting out on the self build venture 😃

I would be wary of calling my bitch weak.  Good at being spread out though.
