Thoughts on Plans

Afternoon,

 

Does anyone have any thoughts/ recommendations for betterment of the attached layout designs?

 

Any usability/ construction issues anyone could foresee?

 

I know they aren't the most ground-breaking plans, but we aren't after some futuristic Grand Design as it's our first self build in a small village.

 

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

The stairs go the wrong way.  Have them start at the front door and finish at the back of the landing upstairs.

 

What's with going through the garage to get to the downstairs loo?  Have that opening from the lobby into the utility room.

 

Can't comment on the rest of the layout without seeing how it sits on the plot, which way is north, which way gets the views etc.

Gabion baskets will be around 1.5m at the rear, sloping down alongside the side garden space.

don't bother with the garage, you're realistically never going to use it as a garage I wouldn't want the only wc down stairs to be through the kitchen, through the utility and through the garage, it's not really user friendly, I know you have one at the top of the stairs but what is granny going to do!?

Garage is more so for storage. In our currebt house we turned our garage in to a sun rooma and utility, with 1m x 3m storage space, which isnt enough.
