Conor Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 (edited) My GSE instructions say I need to ground the panels behind the trays. My Solar Edge instructions make no mention of earthing/ grounding. Thoughts? Edited August 31, 2021 by Conor
Marvin Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 (edited) and because I have panels on a metal frame this is the reason I have to earth bond the frame.? Edited August 31, 2021 by Marvin Clarification, hopefully.

offthepiste Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Useful info ... looking to install Sunpower Maxeon 5 AC (fitted expanse micro inverters) in two separate strings on two separate flat roofs. Came across this reasonably current Sunpower 'Safety and Installation Instructions for AC modules' dated 2021which I assume may apply to UK installs. https://sunpower.maxeon.com/uk/sites/default/files/2021-06/Safety and Installation Instructions for AC Modules 537620 RevD Final.pdf Seems to have pretty clear advice on grounding / earthing. Only question I have is whether I need to ground with separate, say copper, cable to a grounding plate / pole buried in the earth or whether I am over thinking this. Advice gratefully accepted! Cheers to all
