Dutch
I have planning drawings not currently submitted but no building regulation documents. I was advised by a family member to get Architectural technician drawings so I now how all the elements go together. I am going to be using an ICF build system, I had a quote from Durisol so far. I have been quoted £2000 from one technician so far with the structural calculations on top and outsourced Is that the way you would go or save the £2000 and work it out for yourself and pay to get the structural calculations done. I am planning of having a vaulted ceiling above the living space. 9.3m front to back, 5.7m wide I will need a ridge beam to support the ceiling, at one end it can rest on the wall, at the other end it is mostly glass, so presumably will have to sit on steel legs like a tent at the edge of the room. Temp
I think that Building Control will need to see drawings and calculations for the structural ridge beam that you mention. But I would wait until you have planning permission granted before you get these started.

Dutch
I used Durisol before for an extension and it was simple to use, I have also contacted Isotex woodcrete for a quote. I am not a bricklayer and I like the fact you could just put screws in it. But welcome your comments as I am here to learn.
