Dee Posted March 24, 2017 Share Posted March 24, 2017 Felting between existing roof and new dormer.... How the hell do I do a neat flat finish where the dormer ridge meets the roof and valleys? ! I've had to strip back Alot of tiles to expose the old bituminous felt (it's very very fragile) while trying to slide the new membrane under it above the dormer ridge. I've laaid a strip along each valley So far I've made a complete fist of it! Thers too much bagging.. Aaargghhh Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tennentslager Posted March 24, 2017 Share Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Think @ProDave has already suggested...do it the Scottish way and board across the rafters with 11mm OSB first. Building regs are more stringent here due to our wild weather and this makes everything much stronger but also easier once you've nailed the OSB on...
