Kingspan green guard GG500 threshold

Just been hit with compac foam doubling in price for threshold insulation. I have some Kingspan greenguard GG500. Does anyone have any experience using it in thresholds? How well does it hold framing screws?

I gave up on compact foam and instead just cast a concrete door block. The door fitters hated it and insisted on concrete for the 4.6m bi-folds and massive front door. I'm reducing the cold bridge by fixing aerogel to either side of it.

i used it under my sliders, 400kg on it, it won’t hold a screw though. 

Do you really need screws in the cill area.

Have you had the sliders fitted yet? I assume the aluminium sliding and bifold doors will be fixed through frame base- they are both sitting 75% within cavity.

No fixings in my base track at all, just lots of pu sealant applied as door track went in, then another tube inside and out, you would need to rip it out with an excavator if you wanted to take it out.
