Balraj Appadu
I am coming to the nitty gritty of my build, just want to know the price of manpower for tiling floors plank style porcelain tiles in Duramat, what is the price per square metre for tiling only as I have supplied all materials further I would also like to know the price for laying down engineered oak to be glued down also per metre square? thank you
nod
I run a tiling business and pay 22m2 and 3.50 m2 matting 1 charge 31m2 for planks They are site rates You may be up to 40m2 for a one man ban outfit I tiled our own in planks 158m2 It took me 5 days But don’t get on the tools as much as I did a few years back
Mr Punter
It is often £50 round here to include adhesive and grout for tiling. For the engineered oak, the adhesive is expensive but it is a fairly simple DIY job.
CotswoldDoItUpper
We’re just about to pay £2750 inc. Ivory grout, flexible adhesive and sealer to lay 55sqm. (£50/sqm) plus £800 (£14.55/sqm) for the same area to have decoupling matting which we apparently need between the PIR UFH boards and limestone 600x900 tiles. think the tiling cost is ok but the decoupling matting is a bit pricy? CotswoldDoItUpper
@nod Could I lay the matting myself? Is it complicated? What would I need? Seems a good place to save money!
