Trickle vents

Hi

i have getting sliders put in on the back - 6m across

Do I need to specify trickle vents?? If I have 4 velux windows on the roof which also have a trickle vent facility, would this be sufficient enough - the trickle vents on the sliders are rather ugly !!!?

All depends on your air supply strategy mate - trickle vents / mhrv etc.  If you are going down the TV route then NHBC / PG and others state the open area required for the vents for the house in total.

We left them off ours Windows nearby had TVs BC was ok

Ventilation strategy needs thinking through, trickle vents do too little when it is calm and too much when windy
