Pocster Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Yes I know - it’s nothing to do with what you’re thinking . I use that title in the sense there’s no ‘best’ way to tile in certain circumstances- just go for it . Next week going to tile the entire ground level floor . Floor tiles ( already laid ) in bathroom and ensuite are different . So for those rooms the general rule of lining up a whole tile at the entrance makes sense . But to do an entire floor with other doorways ( same tile into those rooms ) - makes avoiding ‘skinny’ or tricky cuts impossible. My wobbly assumption is to do the whole/centred tile but off the front door - so everything is relevant to that .....
Onoff Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Is that a tile spacer or are you just pleased to see me?

I agree, walking through the front door you see the longest row of tiles in a line right through to the patio door. Measure out to see what that leaves you with in the rear room as a little off the tile next to the front door might make a big difference in that room and won’t be noticed. 1
