Ryan Bazeley
I was going going to fix 12.5mm Knauf Exterior Aquapanel to my SIPS via 25mm x 50mm battens, reading the specification information from Knauf they insist on a minimum 60mm fixing face? Does anyone who has done this know if I should fit bigger battens or will it be okay? TIA
nod
50 is fine As long as your setting out is neat
Ryan Bazeley
Thanks, I suppose it doesn’t hurt to double up if needed?

Dudda
I'd be ok with the 50mm too if you're neat but is the 25mm a bit light? It will have a fair amount of screws in it. Screws fixing the batten to the structure and then the panel to the batten which are doubled in number at a joint. Very easy to split. Would you go 50x35mm? Ryan Bazeley
Hi, thanks for your comments. 25 x 50 battens are what’s specified by Kingspan so should be okay. I think?
SuperJohnG
@Ryan Bazeley what did you use in the end? I'm just trying to get battens did you use rough sawn or c16?
