Pocster
Plasterers arrive next week ... Once dry I have walls and ceilings to paint , all the same colour to make life easy . I presumed I could just spray the ceiling and literally continue down the wall . This a bad idea ? Should I do just the ceiling ; let some over spray onto the walls . Then do the walls ? Does it even matter ???
nod
I gave everything a mist coat then brought the ceilings to a finish and about 500 down from the tops of the walls

andy
Mist coat - circa 1 water to 3 paint. Ceilings, walls, anything in the way gets coated. Give it at least 1/2 a day to dry then put a nice even 2nd coat on and leave it for 6 hours before you do a 3rd coat to cover areas that may need it. It's better to spray too thin and do an extra coat than put it on too thick, trust me.

( no diluting )

SteamyTea
Make sure the paint is the right viscosity for spraying. My Chinesium sprayer came with s gauge. Still in the box as I have not got around to using it yet. Regarding mist coats, before I had my eyeballs drilled, lenses liquified and replaced with new, shiny bright acrylic, everything was misty. Pocster
I went for it Even the Wagner extension rod doesn’t seem to work ! Just a dribble ! Back to the short nozzle . Man in paint shop said not to dilute just mix well . Kept blocking over and over again ! I then ran out of paint ( sprayers seem to use tons more ) Sent SWMBO to get more Mixed the 2nd tub in and magic . No blocking - runs like a dream ! I’m over stretching to do ceiling and the mess on me is amusing . But the quality of finish is the dogs ! ? Photos don’t do justice . Perfect white not one dribble ( not one !! ) Almost like a skilled man did it Edited May 28, 2021 by pocster
