Roundtuit Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Difficult to tell what's going on; plasterboard or lath and plaster? If it was under coving, it might never have been finished properly.
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 Yeh thing is cove keep falling g down due to distemper and obviously if we had chose not to cove this would still be there so what do you suggest any good or not
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 No it was not covered we loved it and discovered this just put cove back up but obviously when fell down was still there thanks
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 The property is 1960 would it be lath and plaster ?
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 Its 60 year old property just bought and has no end of problems
TonyT Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 So what’s above the crack? Loft? another flat? just taken a wall down and plastered up? just to get an idea, as you don’t provide a lot of supporting evidence, would be good if you described the room, timber floor, concrete floor? Wall construction
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 There is a loft above and t&g floor and wall construction is brick
TonyT Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 So what’s above the corner where the big crack is?
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 This is a bedroom joining onto another property with a tiled roof
TonyT Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 So is there anything in the loft looking strange above the crack?
Diy Posted February 15, 2021 Author Posted February 15, 2021 Unless its lath as not looked under insulation
