Arnold9801 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 (edited) Has anyone made their own? if so I’d love to see pics and what you used to make it. regards Arnold9801 Edited January 27, 2021 by Arnold9801
Russdl Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 @Arnold9801 I can’t wait for the reply’s because I have absolutely no idea what on earth a ‘dappling bar’ is. This is better than home schooling I suspect.
Russdl Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 @Tennentslager is it? I’m steering clear of Google on this one because I don’t want to spoil the surprise. 1
Tennentslager Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Just a guess Dappling...I'm away to do some now with the missus, no questions 1
Arnold9801 Posted January 28, 2021 Author Posted January 28, 2021 (edited) I’m glad I’ve made a few of you chuckle over my dappling bar! We could all do with a laugh! It’s just a flat bar/pipe with two arms that terminate with handles that is used for levelling mortar/cement flooring! It has nothing to do with the “misses!” The reason I’ve asked this question relates to me having to level 148m2 of cement next week on our new build as we’ve just come up to dpc. For what they are, they are pretty expensive to buy so was wondering if others have made their own? Arnold9801 Edited January 28, 2021 by Arnold9801
Russdl Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 @Arnold9801 so @Tennentslager was right on the money. And I’ve used one, but never thought to ask its name! (you should have strung us along for a bit, a golden opportunity wasted ?)
joe90 Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 My main contractor made his own, long length of aluminium channel with wooden handles bolted on each end (I had never heard the name either!!,)
