mksolucki Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Hi everyone, We have recently downsized and bought a lovely 2 bed cottage. At the moment we still have our youngest son living with us who is working from home at present. We are currently converting an old brick outbuilding into a study (mostly for his use as he is using the dining-room at present!) and nothing is a standard size! I appreciate that we could have a wooden door 'made to measure' but time is now of the essence as I am also now having to work partly from home. I wondered if any of you far more experienced people know of any companies that have odd sized doors in stock. Ours measures 1981x685mm or 78x27"
joe90 Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Why not cut down an oversized door blank to the size you want.https://www.builderdepot.co.uk/44mm-plywood-fd30-fire-door-blank-2135mm-x-915mm-7ft-x-3ft
mksolucki Posted January 8, 2021 Author Posted January 8, 2021 Thanks so much for that Joe90. The trouble is we really want a partially glazed door to let more light in.
TonyT Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Door blank as Joe advises then https://www.directdoors.com/blogs/help/glazing-doors-cutting-aperture-glass 1

mksolucki Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Thanks for your replies. It is a standard size for an interior door Peter - unfortunately not for exterior.
