brickierob1
Hi everyone, I'm a bricky in training, so please bear with me. When I'm digging strip foundations for a decorative garden wall. What questions should I be asking myself, when calculating the depth of it, also can I pour concrete straight the footing or do I need lay some sort of gravel and hardcore before hand. Many thanks

Temp
Paving Expert site is also good.. https://www.pavingexpert.com/featur03 Long walls should have piers at regular intervals, or zigzag them to make them more interesting and do away with piers. tonyshouse
I prefer wider to deeper, ideally no organic under concrete 3 or 400mm should be ok for depth 600 wide stops it falling over 450 is ok too definitely no throwing stuff under the concrete please
