london8
I would like to know your own experiences about the costs to have the connection of gas done to the public system. - The location? - How many metres from your house to the street to the main pipe? - The price? I am making this research to know the average cost to make my own plans. Many thanks.

Tony C
Its easy to get Cadent to quote for you. In my case 1m from the street connection was £520 for your reference.
NewToAllOfThis
Just had quotes from Cadnet, 3 metres along private road to edge of our premises £595.00, For another £180 they have said they would lay 4 metres on my property and supply surface mount box. Made the payment and just hope they still to it as they are now going to do a survey, surely it would make sense to do the survey first and get the price correct. Any else had a quote and then had it changed after a survey or been left at the same price even after they have seen the amount of work they need to do.
