JandD
Hi All, i want to start with no ones health is more important than a build. We've had to postpone our build that was due to start next week as the valuer cancelled yesterday. We had gone for a self build mortgage that payed at wall plate level, and we hoped to need a single stage payment to get us over the line. But due to no one valuing at all in the country then we've been told today we are on pause till they recommence...... Heh ho it took 13 months to this stage what is another few more!! so if anyone hears of a valuer being out and about let me know ?

Temp
You are allowed to go to work if you can't work from home and can maintain 2m separation at work. I would have thought it was possible for a valuer to do that. You don't have to hold his hand while he goes around.
Ferdinand
A lot of mortgage valuations are just drivebys anyway.
GerryB
Where geographically is your plot J&D? We have our fingers crossed, but we have heard that esbs (earl shilton building society) who our mortgage application is with have found a valuer prepared to value our plot in Derbyshire. We are waiting for them to contact us to make arrangements so that they can work round our groundworks team who are getting on with the job.
