BricksP Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 I know that's a very amateur question, but I don't know what exactly are these drainage pipes used for. They are different types and sizes (both diameter and length) and both rolled to a coil and straight, some have small perforations on them etc. Thanks.
Mr Punter Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 I googled the rigid stuff and it is mostly used for highways drainage surface and stormwater.
nod Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Top will be garden drainage The rigid lengths are often used on site to push services through when crossing a site road
recoveringbuilder Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Top picture is definitely land drainage, I should know we’ve used rolls of it!
Temp Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 (edited) Some have perforations all over, others have perforation on just the top or bottom of the pipe. The latter can be used with perforated half either up or down.... Up - typically used as a land drain to collect water and send it somewhere else. Down - typically used to create a drainage field/soakaway to disperse water collected elsewhere. The Paving Expert web site has a lot of info on this sort of thing. Edited January 26, 2020 by Temp
