Pre planning

Evening all, finally got around to submitting a pre planning application on Sunday. Had an email back today saying they are just opening  Jan 3rds mail so expect a delay in Validation.  Does anyone  know the time line after  Validation  bearing in mind this is only  a pre application Thanks as always.

I did 2 lots of pre planning and they both took the full time limit they quoted - 3 months (almost to the day)

Depends on which council, I suspect. I submitted mine to Highland Council on August 5th, got the acknowledgement on the 13th and the reply on September 24th so 7 weeks and a day. IIRC they're supposed to respond within 8 weeks but maybe that's just Scotland.

Thanks , I think its safe to assume 3 months Vijay did that Include a site visit.

I’ve just submitted my Pre App to Central Beds. Had acknowledgement next day and they say I will have a full written response by 4th March.

We did two and each took two months. The second one also included a presentation to a Design Review Panel.

This is the correct answer.

 

Both fees and 'service level agreements' vary from Authority to Authority. In my experience, it can vary from 14 days up to 'we'll do it when we get round to it, but active applications take precedence'.

 

Speak to the Planning department and ask them, if it's not already on their website.
