Adam E
I Have concrete slab seems very level but I have put down the membrane and 150mm insulation boards a few boards have a slight rocking no-more than 5-6mm Its a twist in the insulation board as if I swap the board problem solved but I can’t return the boards I am putting down castellated panels for ufh and a dry screed mix, Should I be concerned about the uneven boards ? and if so what’s the best way to fix the problem. Mr Punter
6mm is not a lot and I think you will be fine. The castellated panels should take this up. How thick is the screed?
Adam E
Screed is 70mm
wozza
Cut the board across the centre of where it rocks. I had this, where an existing floor met a newer floor - so I the jointed the boards at that point. The screed installer told me not to worry as I had a couple of boards that still rocked a couple of mm, he said the weight of the screed will hold them down. nod
Uneven insulation won’t make any difference When you get 10 or 20 ton of screed on top Everything will be flat
