Lead Flashing - Pointed or Lead Sealant

Hi All,

 

Just a quick question about lead flashing.

 

Would you point up the joint with Mortar as is traditionally done or would you use Lead Sealant?

I have always used lead sealant, i think that it will have a degree of flexibility that mortar will never have. I've never had a problem.
