Hi,

Couldn't find an exact forum area to put this so sorry if in the wrong area.

Does anyone know how to export DWG or DXF file from Drawing Express, I don't have the package but my Architect doesn't know how to do this but has said he will send me the file if I can explain how it is done.

Thanks

Google says they have a good telephone support line.

I guess this doesn't work?...

file -> save as -> then use drop down menu to change the file extension to .dxf or .dwg

It may be under File-->Export-->[pick your format from list]

Quick look at their website and it says that it can only export as PNG, SVG and DE

Hi, this is a different package, it is Drawing Express ‘ by Trial Systems' in the UK.

I don't have the package, it is my architect who uses the package but he doesn't know how to find the facility. It uses a tablet and pen so I guess it is selected somehow from the various areas on the tablet rather than selecting File etc from the screen.

.

I  use the drawing express package myself, (Mine is up to date version 2022),

Down on the right hand side, tablet ref 29-30/2 the is a save as ACAD/DXF, simply save the file then send it any way you wish

Hi I have some old Drawing Express .exp files I need to convert to .dwg. I don’t have access to the software anymore. Can anyone convert them if I email / Dropbox them?

Post up a small file and we can all try out out CAD programmes and see if one works.

Try Windows 3D viewer, says it opens *.exp
