Jennab Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Hi there, Hoping for a bit of advice from anyone who may have Rationel aluclad windows. Ours were installed this week and look great, but my better half is slightly (very) nervous about the wood finish in the bathroom (we went for clear lacquer finish). Anybody who has had the aluclad windows for awhile, who perhaps has any words of comfort/tips on maintenance? Thanks in advance!
ProDave Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Ours are painted wood inside (they had stopped doing "wood" finish when we bought ours. I assume they offer that again?) No problems at all. Never any condensation on the frames. Just normal maintenance, dusting and cleaning.
Jennab Posted July 21, 2019 Author Posted July 21, 2019 Thanks for such quick replies. @Simplysimon yes we’ll definitely make sure there is good ventilation in there - the whole bathroom is being refitted so we’re researching extraction options. @ProDave yes they do the clear finish again now - not sure when it started up again. Great to hear you’ve had no issues- do you mind me asking how long yours have been installed for?
