looking at chopping in the runaround for an id3 as the Scalextric car market is on its arse at the moment so deals to be had. With 11.5kw possible via a wallbox2 car charger on single phase, the arbitrage possibilities on octopus agile would be very attractive especially come winter and more freqent negative energy costs. Anyone gone down this rabbit hole yet ?

Reading this story though, I couldn't help but wonder did Falkirk Council deliberately install boilers that would be very expensive to run as I suspect installing electric boilers was a lot cheaper for them than installing gas boilers and the running costs weren't their problem. It is now exacerbated by people being locked into some very expensive electricity pricing, but anyone who knows the price of electricity versus gas knows that this would create a massive increase in heating costs. The story keeps calling them eco boilers. In no way should an electric combi be called an eco boiler, clearly people have no idea of the difference between these and ASHPs. The DM then have a further story today about banning every new home being connected to the gas grid, that ASHPs will cost £10k to fit and that they won't work in older poorly insulated houses. Assuming that gas boilers are eventually banned, then over time they can be replaced with ASHPs, however, I was thinking is this as simple as it seems? Even relatively modern houses will have heating systems designed to use 75C hot water from a gas boiler. Is the replacement of boilers as simple as it seems?

As part of our planning approval we must have 2 car charging points before completion. Even though we have zero chance of affording an electric car by the time we have paid for the build. Do these have to have independent wires with their own trip switch, can they both go on the same wire and do they have to be independent of the building rather than attached to the outside wall of the dwelling.

My Bosch 4 amp battery is showing a full charge when I put it on the charger but yet when I attach a tool it will not work, and yes I have tried different tools. When I actually click it into place on the charger the charger clicks as though everything is ok and then flashes permanent green which indicates fully charged. Is it goodbye to this battery or I have heard of things like put them in the freezer for 24 hours and then leave to come back to room temperature and then try charging again. TIA
