Quite an interesting piece on the BBC suggesting that 3G may be effectively standards under the new building regs. including a new type of 3G called "Architectural Technical Glazing' - U-value ~0.5 - with a very thin centre pane, which is supposed to make it more practical as a 2G replacement. I'm not completely convinced, since glazing is only one aspect and 2G is available at a U-value of under 1. As ever, imo it will be down to how to meet the minimum requirement at the minimum price. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-67161076

Hi, I'm thinking of going with Rehau Total70C triple glazed uPVC windows, with a height of 1500mm. The documentation on the Rehau website suggests a maximum for side hung openings of 900x1500mm (WxH). I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has used these frames with 3G and a height of 1500mm and whether they have functioned properly in day to day use. Thanks

My wife found a crack in a window today. It is the middle and inside pane of a 3G window. Looks like some kind of stress in the frame to me. Should this be covered by the warranty?

Can anyone please help. The calculation of U values for triple glazing panels If you have a glazing panel, made up as 4-20-4-18-6.8, soft coat, soft coal, Lam/tuf glass with warm edge spacers and argon filled is it possible to reduce the air gap to 10mm and 10mm and still achieve the same thermal efficiency. Everything i have found on line suggests it is not possible.
