Not got this far yet. Only have the manifold and pipework. I am concerned that if the pressure falls further, or is considered too low now for whatever reason then can i still get the screed pour tomorrow. If not i need to call them off this morning.

I will check when i am on site tomorroe and take a picture. assuming i may not be able to get the installers back to site before the screeders arrive and also that there is in fact a problem. Can i resolve this myself ?

I had the UFH pipes laid today, screed on thursday. So i thought i would do the sensible thing and take a picture of the pressure reading as soon as it was signed off. I had occassion to check it again 6 hours later and was very suprised and more than a little concerned to see the difference. And yet there is zero sign of a leak anywhere of course, everything is fine. I had imagined that ' make sure it maintains pressure' meant the same pressure. Yes , i know that temperature can make a difference and atmospherics but thats quite a percentage change in a few hours.

The fully 'gone off' time is quite a long time due to it being greater than 40mm. So i suppose my question really is, can it be tiled before this?

Walkable after 48 hours but very slow to be regarded as fully 'set' . So when is it ok to tile the kitchen floor over my 75mm wet screed which is due next thursday.

My ground floor ceiling, where the 2 steels are located will be packed with Ursa glasswool. I dont know why it did not occur to me but i checked their website this morning. It is regarded as fireproof and accepted as a firestop material. Doesn't this give me all that i need to satisy building control? i will certianly making this case to them.

No not inadequate. This was approved by East herts planning, perhaps they are less fussy. The thing is, apart from the built part of the project everything green and growing is alreay existing on this site.

I understand the 15mm for 600 centres bit but i do not understand the MF part i copied in. please elaborate

Is this 2 x steels with some PIR between? and is the timber either side part of the construction or part of some fireproofing subsequent.

Standard plasterboard provides the 30 minutes protection though doesn't it? The timber posts and beams are a structural element and the steels sit on them. Nobody has mentioned a thing about providing additional 30 minutes protection of those. Curious.

Nick they are load bearing. I am glad you say nothing needs doing to them. is that because they will have plasterboard below them and are not on show?

This is how it looks in reality at the moment. No room underneath for anything other than the ceiling PB, what ever that turns out to be. And hard up against a posi on one side. The other one is the same.

It was BCO woman that asked me to do this. There is nothing on the build drawings from the TF supplier that mentions this at all. They are above the ground floor living room ceiling and will not be visible. Fire proof 15mm plasterboard on the living room ceiling it is then?

No not 3. Standard 2 storey cottage style. Please elaborate on what you mean by 'single layer of fire check' . Can i do what i described or do i need to encase them?

I have 2 steel joists running across the living room. They will not be visible once the plasterboard ceiling is installed. 10 inch posi joists carry the rest of the ceiling/s. Building control have asked for fire protection of these steels. Is it acceptable to just use 15mm fire rated plasterboard across the entire living room ceiling. Or do they need to be encased?

Looks like i am running some 28mm then.

The 32mm runs under the house and up though the block and beam to the manifold under the stairs. This is a 'fixture' now. Do you mean replace the 22mm from manifold to UVC with 28mm Nick. Keith

My proposed ASHP install is 12 metre run of 32mm from outside to under the stairs where the UFH manifold is. Then 16 metres of 22mm upstairs to the UVC. 7kw Vaillant Arotherm by the way. Installers are saying the mismatch is an issue and the Vaillant needs 28mm anyway. Do i have an issue ?
