  1. We are going to have various jobs that need height access but really don't warrant a scaffold contractor. All these jobs will largely be 'me, myself and I' thus I'm not too concerned about the issue of insurance etc (Although I can easily obtain a low cost PASMA certification). Mu initial thought was to buy a good quality wide aluminium tower but now I'm wondering if a basic set of cuplock/Kwikstage scafold might be a better option? Either way re-sale values seem to be fairly strong so I'm not going to lose much and certainly save on hire costs. Any thoughts on the best way to go? Pro's and Cons?
  2. Thanks guys, I'm going to do some more research!
  3. Non Fit. All Black: £140.00 ea Black with Silver: £115.00 ea so with an array of 10 panels its £250.00 + VAT
  4. OK, I'm being ridiculously indecisive. Do I go for the cheaper REC panels which are black framed with black backing and silver solder lines OR the much more expensive all black Intenergy 250W All Black Mono Solar Panel? Am I really going to notice some silver solder lines running across the panels that much? TTFN Barney (I'm not sure the image with the silver lines is the exact same model but it looks like the PDF spec picture!)
  5. It was a bit of an afterthought to make use of some space. It's wide enough for shelves and me. To the right of the door into the lean-too will be the dust extraction and air compressor (both noisy). To the right will be a 4m run of shelves for storing "stuff"!
  6. It will feed into the main house supply but no intentions of having it FiT registered.
  7. We need a poll function on the forum!
  8. It's all about planning. 25 years ago my wife wanted a baby. I said "let's sort out a house first". She's still waiting...... ........for the house and the baby
  9. She wants a house first.
  10. Well in an attempt to bring my workshop thread back to life from the other forum I'll thought I post an update. Cladding now well underway. As is the rear lean-too extension (I'm never really sure why I didn't want a completely oblong workshop) Rear section of roof is now tiled. Front ready for the 6 panel solar array. Thats been delayed by classic indecision over supplier on my part!
  11. Hello all, well its great to see this motley crew back up and together. I have missed you all terribly. Even the grumpy one. TTFN Barney
  12. Well I for one very much enjoy your videos. But, as for filming down the front of crevices. You should be slightly ashamed of yourself
