  1. Thanks Jack, I have just received this from Russwood: The prices for the profiles you mentioned are listed below (ex.VAT) Siberian Larch A/B Grade RW 060 £31.18/m² RW 006 £30.00/m² Siberian Larch A+ Grade RW 060 £36.77/m² RW 006 £35.38/m² Scotlarch HW RW 060 £26.61/m² RW 101 £27.48/m² Sioo treatment adds around £14/m² covered depending on the profile but as I mentioned this would involve a 6-7 week lead time.
  2. Has anyone purchased T + G larch cladding recently. I'm keen to here feedback on suppliers, m2 prices etc. I have just requested quotes from Russwood and SilvaTimber - particularly interested in the SIOO coating - http://www.silvatimber.co.uk/sioo-impregnation-solution.html Looking for A grade, very little knots and preferably Siberian. I have 160m2 to vertically clad.
  3. Well the couriers phoned me 30 mins before arriving and carried everything in for me, they even suggested I unpack and check everything and were happy to hang around. Everything looks pretty good, the bath looks very sturdy and the taps impressed the misses. I'll report back when I have fitted it all, probably a month - v slow progress
  4. Then they go and spoil it all and offer 20% off over the bank holiday. I have gone from feeling delighted with the price to slightly peed off with my timing. That's another £60 quid I could have saved! It's being delivered today between 10:30 and 2:30 - I even get a tracking link showing live progress. I'll report back later after I check out the items.
  5. The house I bought before Christmas has quite a lot of wood worm, the floor boards are quite bad in some rooms but it hasn't made it's way into the floor joists. None of the boards are that far gone that they need replacing to be honest. I have just got round to spraying the timbers and I finished the loft tonight after removing all the insulation, cobwebs and hoovering all the dust and debris out. I'm doing a proper job as there's no point me bothering at all if I do it half hearted but I am concerned about not having a guarantee. I plan to sell the house in 2 - 3 years at the most and I'm wondering whether it could be worth the money to get someone in and spray the lot and issue a guarantee. I think it would come up on the survey again that there is signs of woodworm and It may put off a buyer that I did a DIY job... What do people think? Any ideas on the price for a 2 bed house. There is easy access on the ground floor with plenty of crawl space, I'm just starting to take up the boards on the first floor and swearing quite a lot... I hate that job!
  6. I actually quite like the layout as is. I have just ordered from http://bathsupermarket.com/ They gave me 10% trade discount and free Saturday delivery, apparently the delivery drivers will deliver it into a room of your choice. It is almost too good to be true! Double slipper bath, waste, shower bath mixer, quadrant shower, toilet, sink and taps and a towel rails for £567.90 delivered
  7. I think I'll jump on the deal - just applied for the trade account. Apparently you get 10% discount but I'm more interested in the Saturday delivery option.
  8. The door is to the right of the toilet. This is how the bathroom is currently laid out, there was a big cupboard where I have shown the shower but I ripped that out today Annoyingly the toilet waste goes out through the corner of the rear bedroom - I'm going to try and sort that out!
  9. Has anyone any experience of these? They look pretty comfy and I want to fit something a bit special in our bathroom. I'm on a budget and I have found this online - http://bathsupermarket.com/bow-freestanding-bath-including-feet does it sound too cheap? I know I need to get the taps and waste separately but it looks a good deal. This is the plan for the bathroom:
  10. Building a lodge for my parents in Dumfries and Galloway and I also own the plot next door... which I plan to build something very similar to Crofter under portable building regulations
  11. Hi Everyone, Hats off to the 'buildhub' founders for getting this community back together, clearly a lot of hard work has been put in and the site looks great! I went a bit quiet on the old forum due to being so busy with work - I'm just back from a tour of Ireland... 3000 miles in 10 days What I would give to be working full time on our forest lodge project again! We caught two Tawny owls roosting in the lodge last night which was a surprise. I'll be heading back up to site next weekend to fit all 8 roof lights. Here is how she looks right now: As some of you know I also bought my first house before Christmas... which needed a lot of work! We have just finished decorating the bedroom after I replastered it all... jeez my Dad used to make it look so easy! The house is fully rewired now and I'm going to start fitting the new bathroom next week.
