Hi, Hopefully someone can help. At this time of year my monobloc struggles to heat my house. The temperatures here in Orkney are actually mild compared with the rest of the UK so ambient temperature should not be the issue. The first screenshot shows the sensor readings when the system is producing hot water to 48 degrees. As you can see the PHE temp is good. Now the second screenshot shows the temperature sensors when the system is producing heating, as you can see the PHE temperature is really low and the pipework is cool to the touch. Due to these low temperatures circulating around the pipework I think this is why my rooms are not heating up. In the summer it is better. Does anyone know why the PHE temperature is so low when heating is requested? Thanks

Hi Peter, thanks for the reply, I was worried due to the wetness of the wall and have concerns about it bossing, to be honest the pipe looks fairly level, I presume this long section of concrete is normal on an exterior wall vent? I have fitted smaller round ones so unsure if the reduced surface area will help.

Hi, I have a similar issue, although my system is air to water. I know that underfloor heating should be treated like a giant storage heater but mine never seems to be at the right temperature for when I need it. Won't come on during the day as the ambient temperature is higher than the floor heating, but when that temperature drops and I want heating it takes too long to raise the room temperature, finding it very frustrating and lie you feel that I am wasting energy heating the slab when I don't want to. Starting to feel that underfloor heating is not as great as some make out.

Hi Hastings, Sorry I did not really find an answer, I have just fitted my inline silencers and they have reduced the noise greatly, this has allowed me to increase the normal operating % back up to 30% and 80% when bathrooms used. However I have just replaced the external vent covers and when I removed the extraction side the wall is very damp and wet inside the piping, see pictures. The original cover was sealed well so I do not believe water was getting in from outside. Any thoughts? I have renewed all the internal filters in the machine and washed and dried the large honeycomb one too, this also had water inside it, I checked the drain hose from the machine, it is connected and unblocked.

Hi, An update question on my MVHR. Due to my system being very noisy and me not fitting a silencer to the system yet I currently have my unit to run at 20% airflow on Normal mode but at night I have it set to go into Low Mode and run at 10% so that I can sleep. Yesterday I noticed that it was running in Normal mode at 24% when it should have been in Low Mode, upon checking this morning I found that the intake filter was wet. The filters are less than a year old, I live in a rural setting and I hoovered them end of March. Humidity sensor set for 70% with summer by-pass switched on. We have had a lot of damp and misty days lately, is it possible that the unit is drawing in very damp air which is getting the filter wet and causing the unit to react to the humidity? If so any way of stopping this, here in Orkney we get a lot of sea mist and damp etc. Ta

Take it you need something to go over that bracket in the photo and allow a screw to go through it? If so what about spire clips?

Hello all, II have the above unit and was wondering if anyone has a list that shows what each screen info means in the diagnostic menus. I am particularly interested in the temp readings as I am trying to set the summer by-pass function up. I can obviously access the screens but some have what appears to be temperatures and percentages and others only have temperatures etc. I cannot find anything on Vent Axias' site. Thanks in advance.

Cheers for the info.

I live in a bungalow, the sockets are on different RCD in the service unit. One for kitchen, one for lounge and one for bedrooms, think this should handle another double socket.
-
Yep, I can spur off a double socket in the bedroom, it only has a lamp and telephone connected. Thanks that sounds like a good solution.
-
Cheers, that was a concern I had about the capacity, did not even think about the room inside the isolator. Thanks
-
Yep, just kitchen sinks. Will see how it goes now they have been stripped and cleaned
-
Ok, stripped both sink pipework and cleaned any gunk in them, a little yucky and smelly but nothing too bad I think, both u bends had water in them so hopefully this means no vent stack issues. Does anyone know if you should hose the gunk off the discs inside the unit.

One for the Sparkies, I want an external socket for lawnmower etc. Was planning on spurring of an internal socket but wondered if using the power unit outside for the heating system would be a better idea. Going to use the following socket. BG Electrical WP22RCD double socket with switch and RCD fuse, latch function, for outdoor use, weatherproof, 13 A, IP66, thanks

Hi, We have a Klargester Biodisc unit, I know some on here do not rate them but it is what has been installed so I need to live with it. We had the unit emptied a couple of months ago but prior to then and still now we get a really wiffy smell from our sinks. We asked the guy who emptied it, he suggested filling the bath then draining it? I have noticed that one of the discs is covered with stuff ( if you know what I mean), should this be hosed of periodically? I cannot understand why I would be getting smells anyway due to the u bend trap having water in it, I thought that was the purpose of a u bend? I have checked the drains to the unit and they all appear clear. Thoughts please. Ta
