  1. Hi Paul, ICF Supplies Ltd are Nudura distributors in Essex and have a lot going on in East Anglia in general. Contact on 01268542748.
  2. Hi Jayc89, Many brick slips suppliers have a carrier board / recommended fixing detail. For instance Eurobrick V clad or X clad, who have this panel to slot the bricks into https://www.eurobrick.co.uk/v-clad the carrier board is screwed into the ICF fixings. Also have a look at https://www.ribaproductselector.com/Product.aspx?ci=16545&pr=Wetherby-Brick-Slip-Cladding-SystemsWBS15mmBrickSlipCladdingSystems These are fixed to their crimped steel mesh which is also secured to the embedded fixings in the ICF blocks. There are many others including Ibstock, Brick slips Ltd etc. I would be looking at a system that has a backing panel or similar as they are much easier to install than ones without carrier systems. However, without a carrier board, you can attach brick slips to a render basecoat. It's just more difficult to ensure straightness.
  3. The Nudura UK website is undergoing a massive overhaul and all the relevant documents are being worked on as we speak. Because a lot of the previous documents / architects drawings / technical details etc were Canadian they are being replaced with UK specific details. Cheers, Steve [business name removed - Steve works in the industry]
  4. Hi IanMcP, I have emailed you an option. Regards, Steve at Nudura
  5. Absolutely Indy. DM me and I'll give you the details.
  6. There's a current Nudura build near Cricklade in Purton if you wanted to get up close and personal? Let me know and I'll arrange it for you. I've attached some pic's I took yesterday. Regards, Steve
  7. We all suffer from that from time to time mate. No worries ? ?
  8. Blimey. Perhaps I wasn't there for the pour then and must have imagined it all. As I said one load was returned due to the slump and that's it. Having said that, the load that was returned wasn't too bad, but just like on any TV shows they have to inject an air of jeopardy to make it more interesting. Unfortunately for them it was boringly straightforward.
  9. Hi Chanmenie, sorry to disagree but one load was returned to the plant because it failed the slump test. Sarah remarked she could hear creaking during the pour but that was purely for the cameras but no blow pouts or bulges occurred at all. Because it was a fairly large footprint it was a nice steady pour, filling only a block height per concrete delivery load.
  10. Thanks Happy Valley. No blow outs on the Beeny project at all. I know because I supplied the Nudura!!
  11. Hi Chanmenie, if the programme you're referring to was the house on Grand Designs with the curved turret section it wasn't Nudura. It was Beco Wallform actually.
  12. Contact Barry Fingleton at Warmbuild via http://warmbuild.ie/ he will be able to supply the Nudura peel and stick membrane.
  13. It's an interesting question actually. I understand in North America where ICF is more mainstream, resale values of ICF homes can be higher due to the lower heating / cooling costs that are achieved for the lifetime of the building. In the UK I don't believe we have seen this yet but if an owner of an ICF home was to retain their energy bills and able to prove the lower running costs that would surely be a great selling point wouldn't it?
